The Chan House, a historic landmark with a 100-year history, had deteriorated after years of wear and tear. Much of the door, along with its frame, was rusted and beyond repair. The restoration process for this historic landmark posed several challenges, including the age of the door’s components and the considerable weight of the door and frame. With the frame alone weighing over 1,500 pounds, careful logistics were involved in disassembling, transporting, and reinstalling it in the end. Our team of experts was able to handle this intricate task with precision, ensuring that the ornamental ironwork and delicate details were preserved while making the door automatic and easily accessible.
